ἔδοξε τᾶι βουλᾶι καὶ τῶι δά–μωι, γνώμα προστατᾶν·ἐπειδὴ Καλλικλῆς Ἀθηνοδώ–ρου Ἁλικαρνασσεὺς εὔ[ν]ο̣υ̣[ς]ἐστὶ τῶι δάμωι καὶ ἐμ πᾶσιτοῖς καιροῖς πράσ̣σε[ι] καὶ λ[έ]–γει τὰ συμφέροντα πᾶσι Κ̣ώ̣ι–οις, δεδόχθαι τῶι δάμωι· ἐπαι–νέσαι τε αὐτὸν καὶ ἦμεν πρό–ξενον καὶ εὐεργέταν τᾶς πό–λιος τᾶς Κώιων καὶ ἐκγόνος,ἦμεν δὲ αὐτοῖς ἔσπλουν καὶἔκπλουν καὶ ἐμ πολέμωι καὶἐν εἰράναι ἀσυλεὶ καὶ ἀσπον–δεὶ αὐτοῖς καὶ χρήμασι· τοὶδὲ πωληταὶ μισθωσάντω ἀ̣[να]–γράψαι τὸ ψάφισμα τόδε εἰςστάλαν λιθίναν καὶ ἀναθεῖ̣[ν]α̣ι̣εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν τῶν Δυώδεκα Θεῶν.

Athenodo-ros, aus Halikarnassos, wohlwollendgegenüber dem Volk ist und bei jederGelegenheit die Interessenaller Koer vertritt,so möge beschließen das Volk: dass manihn belobige und er proxenosund Wohltäter der Stadt derKoer sei und seine Nachkommen;dass ihnen sein sollen freie Ein-und Ausfahrt im Krieg undim Frieden ungestört und ohneVertrag, für sie und ihr Vermögen; diePoleten sollen verdingen, diesenBeschluss aufzuzeichnen aufeine steinerne Stele und zu weihenin das Heiligtum der Zwölfgötter.
It was decreed by the council andpeople, proposal of the prostatai:inasmuch as Kallikles son of Athenodo-ros, from Halikarnassos, is well disposedto the people and on alloccasions acts and speaksfor what is advantageous to all Koans,it was decreed by the people: to praisehim and he is to be a proxenosand benefactor of the cityof the Koans, and his descendants;they are to have free import andexport in both war andpeace exempt from seizure and without treaty,for themselves and their goods; thepoletai are to contract to in-scribe this decree on astone stele and set it upin the temple of the Twelve Gods.
